Call for Nominations for the Communication & Leadership Award

Do you know someone who is deserving to be recognized as our 2024 C&L Recipient?

District 96 Toastmasters,

It is a tradition at the District 96 Conference that we honor a non-Toastmaster, member of the community as the Communication & Leadership Award participant.  Here is a way for you to participate in the selection process of our 2024 honoree.  Please think of someone who through their Communication and Leadership deserves to be awarded our recognition. 

Please send your nominations to clubgrowth@d96toastmasters.ca by Saturday, March 23. The conference committee will review all nominations and make the selection to be awarded on May 18 at the Spring Conference.

Purpose

The purpose of the Communication and Leadership Community Award is to honor a non-Toastmaster who has made substantial contributions in the areas of communication and leadership.

 

This person is perhaps a public official, a business leader, an academic leader, or who is successful in other fields of endeavor and would be an excellent nominee. 

Criteria

The criteria used to select the recipient for this award includes the following:
Be a resident of the geographical area covered by District 96.

  • Be a non-Toastmaster.
  • Would have distinguished themselves as a leader or spokesperson for a worthy cause or purpose, especially as it exemplified their communication and leadership skills.
  • Could have made a significant contribution to the communities within the District.
  • The impact of this contribution must not be limited to one organization but must be community/district wide.
  • Even better is their leadership and communication supports aspects of the Toastmasters programs.
  • Not to be presented to a recipient a second time.
  • Be able to personally accept the award and give an acceptance address at the District 96 Annual Conference
