Daya is an Information Technology and Project Management leader with work and consultancy experience in Canada, USA, Sri Lanka, Greece, and South Korea encompassing Enterprise Resource Planning ( ERP ) software, Banking, Oil & Gas, Telecommunication, eCommerce Retail, and Education industries for more than 20 years. He has operational level to executive level work experience. 

Daya is an inspirational leader and a people's manager with a proven track record. He has PM/PMO Management / IT Management experience at global corporations as well as startups.

He is an inventor with proven successful Global Patent Application submission on a market-leading tech product in AR/VR ( Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality ) domain to reduce wastage on global eCommerce supply chain, especially in the clothing items. He also has Product Development ability to utilize of "Blue Ocean" strategies to unlock groundbreaking market opportunities and product development road-mapping.

He is also a PMP certified Project Manager and a prominent PMP Exam Prep Trainer in Vancouver, BC. He has also been a Visiting Lecturer at the University of Moratuwa in Sri Lanka, where the Chancellor was prominent futurist Dr. Arthur C. Clarke.

Daya has also been the Emcee of various cultural events for Sri Lankan community in BC since 2005,  where professional artists from Sri Lanka visit for performances in venues such as Bell Center, Michael J Fox Theatre, Massey Theatre, and Surrey Arts enter, etc.

He is also certified as a Television News Reader and Program Presenter at the Sri Lanka Television Training Institute ( SLTTI ) in Sri Lanka and has part-time work experience as a Foreign News Editor/ Newscaster in the most popular radio station in Si Lanka, “Sirasa FM” ( 1998 – 2001 ) as well as the Producer and Presenter of the first-ever Sri Lankan Radio Program aired in BC ( “Lakvoice” ) which was broadcast over Fairchild Radio Network in 2008.

Daya has been a Toastmasters member since 2006 and a Distinguished Toastmaster ( DTM ) since 2014 and was a member of the District 96 DLC for year 2020 to select the District Leadership Trio and Division Directors. He also led a corporate club growth initiative at TELUS in 2013 which was recognized by Toastmasters International with a “Corporate Excellence Award” for TELUS, awarded in person by the International President of Toastmasters International George Yen, DTM in Burnaby, BC.
