August and September are "Smedley Membership" months. Earn the award by adding five new members to your club in these two months. We are blown away so often with our members who are doing amazing with their own skills development; it is humbling for us to work with all of you and as we’re approaching the halfway mark of this Toastmasters year, we wanted to give a hearty thank you!
A bit of downtime is coming up in the month of December and we wish you whatever it is you need: rest, relaxation, time with family/friends, hearty meals with time to prepare them or even clarity that you’re on the path meant for you as you plan 2022!

June 30th is the last day of the Toastmaster Year, so June is time to wrap up and turn over club leadership roles to the new set of officers and directors. To help with that turnover is the Toastmaster Leadership Institute (TLI) and Club Officer Training (COT) session on June 18, 2022. The training is open to all Toastmasters around the world! Register for the TLI here.
March begins with International Women's Day events and continues on with our District's Division level speech competitions.
May is the month in which the leadership teams for the next Toastmaster year are elected, and many members work to complete projects and paths for June 30th. This is also the time for you to decide what you would like to learn in the upcoming 12 months. What will your goals be for the next year? What role will you take on with your club or with the District?
Lots of different things happened in October and are continuing in November. Many clubs have started hybrid meetings - as we can see from postings on the District Facebook page. Education continues to be a "big thing" with our members! Many people have finished Level 5 of their pathway this last month, and we send congratulations to our latest Pathways Mentors, Robin Smith and Denise Yang, and latest DTM, Maureen McBeath.
This summer saw many clubs having in-person meetings out of doors to enjoy the summer sunshine.
