Meeting / Program: Speakers and Evaluators with audience mini-evaluations, plus a Workshop Presentation, "Memoirs on the Marshes" by Trisha Mason.  This presentation will cover the history of Maplewood Flats in North Vancouver and how the marshland was transformed into a wildlife sanctuary.  These flats are the last remaining estuarian marshlands on the North Shore following the industrialization in Burrard Inlet in 1792 after the arrival of Captain Vancouver.  

Patricia ("Trisha:) Mason is an author of several books, plays and essays featuring history and the environment.  She now produces and presents historical slide presentations for community groups on a wide range of topics.
