Club Growth Team - Club Care Team Lead

I am delighted to be introducing this year's Club Care Team Lead - Kerry Deschamps DTM

Kerry, Club Care Team Leader, and all around nice guy, will be working with 4 club care representatives (2 working with existing clubs <12 in size … essentially Club Coach coordinators, 1 working with existing clubs 12-16 in size and one working with existing clubs 17-20 in size). In addition, he will be working with our Club Care Support - stay tuned on who this is.

Bio:

Kerry Deschamps joined Toastmasters in December 1994 to gain confidence in talking with people and to get over his fear and nervousness in front of others. Over his 25+ years as a Toastmasters, Kerry has held all the Club officer roles, been an Area Director twice, a Division Director twice, Club Coach twice, a Program Quality Director and a District Director. He earned his Distinguished Toastmasters (DTM) award in 2002, completed all the advanced manuals, won the District 21 Evaluation contest, and has presented over 175 manual speeches and many educational workshops. Kerry has enthusiastically delivered all the modules in the Better Speaker, Successful Club and Leadership Excellence Series.

Kerry is married to his wonderful wife for 33 years and has 2 adult aged children, 2 grand kids and 2 dogs. He works as a WorkBC Employment Skills Facilitator for WCG Services. He enjoys the 3 C's - coffee, contests and cheesecake; the 3 L's - leadership, learning and lego; and the 3 P's - people, pets and plaid.

Kerry continues to stay in Toastmasters for three main reasons:

1. seeing people's lives change from using the Toastmasters education and leadership resources

2. the positive and supportive environment from his fellow members

3. his own personal growth

Please help me welcome Kerry Deschamps to 2020-2021 Club Growth Team!
